Are friends got engaged recently and we want to give them a nice card and a little gift. Who do we write the check out to? Can you write it to two people or should we write it out to one?

Re: Dumb question:
I would rather not write it out to cash just in case it gets lost in the mail.(That would be my luck.) Do you write it out to one or both?

Re: Dumb question:
Write it to one of them if you don't want to write it out to cash. If they have a joint account I know you can write it out to both, but otherwise, I'm not sure how that works.

Re: Dumb question:
Can you do an and/or type thing on a check? Probably not, I would write the check out to one of them.

Re: Dumb question:
I'd write it out to one. When we got money out of our house escrow, the check was made out to both of us. I tried to deposit it into an acct that was in my name only, and the bank wanted FH there with me, not just his signature on the check. It was a hassle.
