I've booked a bunch of vendors and I've gotten pretty great deals without having to haggle. But I'm trying to set up a meeting with a videographer and his price is out of our budget and my fh wants to haggle to get it down. I really love his work and I'm trying to convince him that with other videographers we would prob pay the same or more cause I'll have to add things to the packages. This one is all included in one price. It's about $1500 more than he wanted to spend. My dumb question is do vendors haggle? Or better do videographers haggle prices down? Stressing

It doesn't hurt to ask... You never know, maybe they will come down half way.

I had things taken out of my photo package I felt were unnecessary and would bring down the price. When it came to video I was told the price was more for all the time it takes to edit rather than the hours of coverage the day of or the amount of blurays/DVDs, etc included in the package. I mean of course try to haggle though!

I always get nervous haggling...lol. I just ask if there is anything your willing to throw in, or is this the best price you can do. I also play dirty and explain that were on a budget because i have $$$$$$$ in med school loans LOL Good luck!

They all haggle if you put it to them as a 'you are out of our budget, so we are going to go with....' If they don't, then look elsewhere. there will be someone else who will

Doesn't hurt to ask... I got an awesome deal on Photo and Video and even then when I brought FH is they ended up giving me more for my money!

When I wasn't able to haggle down with a vendor, I was able to get them to throw in something more. I always try.
