dumb question about Church readings...

do you have to print them out for your readers or does the Church provide it for them? should i type out each reading so they have it prepared?

Yes, type them out in large print so it is easy for your readers to read

I am printing mine for my readers in large print so they dont have to worry about focusing on the words when they are up there

Our Church told us not to hand papers to the readers to carry with them to the altar b/c it doesn't look good. They said everything will be placed on the podium for them. For good measure though, we're providing them with their readings ahead of time, so they know what they'll be expected to read and for how long.

I gave them an email copy of it with detailed instructions so that they knew exactly what to do.

Day of rehersal our priest had a supersized photo copy for each of them on the podium.

I agreed and he said that walking with a paper doesn't look right and sometimes they even forget which is even worse!
