Ok so, ladies when you go for your hair trial, do you go with your veil and tiara?? Or no?? I dont have my veil or tiara yet, so should I wait until I get that? When I mentioned doing a hair trial to the lady who always does my hair she said....' its still very early to be doing that' ... but I see people who are getting married after me already getting their trials done lol... I dunno what to do....

The person I went to for my trial had a tiara and veil...if your person doesnt maybe you want to schedule it for a day you can go veil and tiara shopping afterwards.

If it's a stylist who specializes in bridal then girls go early because they book up quickly if you go to regular person they usually won't book up for something so far away. You should bring your tiara and if you go to someone who does bridal only they will have a veil for you to try on.

I think a lot of girls are doing trials early to see if they like the hair stylist before they book with her. If you know you are going to use your usual stylist, you can book her for the day and then wait to do the trial closer to the date. I don't have my veil and I won't until I pick up my dress so I'll have to do the trial w/o it but I do have a pin I will be using that I will bring to the trial.
ok....to be totally honest and not offend anyone...all us LIW girls seem to go very early because i think we are way too excited to get things done so we can all talk about it! lol I went in October i think because i say all these girls going and got nervous that i was falling behind for my feb wedding. honestly...there is no need to go more than 2 months or so before...In my honest opinion it is totally best to go with the stuff you intend to wear on the day of because you will have a clear idea of the full picture. i had my stuff then and thats why i went...i knew exactly what i wanted and did not intend to go on more than 1 trial...its too much money to piss away...for lack of a better term....lol
of course its your money and your wedding so you can do whatever you want. My hair/makeup girl had planty of tiaras on hand to try on...but not every tiara looks right on every sized head and hairdo so I wouldnt have gone without 'the one'...

I definitely agree. I booked my hair and makeup people without going for a trial because I know that I have loved all the work they've done and I don't have to worry that no one will be available. I'm going to do my trials in like July I think when I will be completely ready to picture everything and I'd have done a couple dress fittings and can be the pic of me in the dress, etc.
Don't worry about doing it early! :)

I only had my veil for my trial, and I was fine with just that. I am making sure that I get another trial before the wedding WITH my tiarra... just to get the FULL effect...

Yea, def thats true..... I went to get my makeup trial done like 2 months ago and now I wish I would have waited closer to my day...bc what if she doesnt remember what colors she used on me?? LOL!!! Because I am NOT going to remember what she used! AHHHHHHHh ... It was just making me nervous hearing about everyone getting their trials done so early. I guess I'll wait until it gets closer and I get my veil to have the full effect.
Do you ladies walk out of the salon with your veils still on and stuff? LOL! Id want to go home and show everyone, even FH to see if he likes it....but I dont know if it would be weird to do this??

totally agree... i think every yr it gets worse n worse... have the seen the progress the 10ers have made? they have stuff done that i havent even given a thought to i actually just called up a salon today... they asked whent he wedding was and i said in aug and she didnt seem to freak out so i guess 7 months ahead isnt toooo tooo bad...

I sometimes feel like bad bride because although I've booked the major things, I have no detail things done yet....haven't even sent out STDs yet
I am just using my regular person to do my hair for the day of. She always does a great job and I go to her all the time when I need my hair done for a special occasion so I can't think of a reason not to use her.

i agree... everyone wants to get things done! i'm doing a trial in January but only because i'm a hair model for my hair girl so we'll do a trial instead of me paying for it, and i'll get my makeup done too. so i'm doing trials then and we'll see what happens. i am not very particular about makeup. i never wear a lot and when i do its basic stuff. so i just want to look pretty and put together. hair i'm a little crazier about. i'm a FREAK about my hair so i need to do a trial.
my sister brought her tiara, just don't let them spray anything on it. the day of is one thing, just don't let them during a trial, you don't want to ruin it. but i would try and bring something with you. i want to take my veil off so it doesn't matter to me if i bring a veil or not. just maybe a tiara or a really nice pin. we'll see!!

I didn't have my veil when I went but she had some samples so we just played around with them so I got the idea of what it would look like. If you have yours great, bring it...if not not a big deal
