Dumb Question of the Day: How exactly does BOTW work?

I just read Jesaroo's story in the LIweddings newsletter this week (it was sooo cute!) and I got curious. When you get picked to be BOTW, what do you have to do? How do you get the picture of the crown in order to make it your avatar? And how do you know which brides were already BOTW so you don't pick them again? Is there a list or something...

The BOTW is someone who really helps out on the boards. The person who picks her is the BOTW of the week before. She has to choose someone to take her place.

Megan (Soon2BMrsD) has the list of former BOTW's. Each fomer bride nominates the next bride and passes on her (picture of a) crown or the new BOTW can pick a fun crown as a few of the girls did!

Thanks for answering those questions, i was really confused! But how does Liweddings get your story to put in the LIweddings newsletter? Do they just use your engagement announcement?

Its something they just started to do. Maybe they decided to continue it and now they look every week to see who the next BOTW is and they will do a little write up on them.

Yes that is exactly right! I sent an FM to the BOTW to get the story and then this week our staff writer took Jesaroo2's story and turned it into what you saw in the newsletter. I am so glad you like it.

Kim, are you only doing this for the 08 brides? We have BOTW's too on the 07 board - and I'm the lucky girl this week We choose the new lady on Sundays and I *think* 08 does the same thing.
