Did any of you do engagement pics in Dumbo Brooklyn with the NYC skyline behind you? Me and FH really want to do our pics here! Is there a fee? Also, how the heck do you get to Dumbo? lol Is it right over the Brooklyn Bridge? Where did you park? Any info would be awesome! Also, if you have pics from your shoot, would so appreciate that as well. Thanks much!

It is right by the bridge, practically under the bridge. There are different sections of the park and a pier and they are all free. You will definitely not have a problem getting that shot from any angle. The Dumbo neighborhood is very cute with cobble stone streets and cute little stores and restaurants, which will also be great shots. Parking is scarce like everywhere in NYC but you can park on the street if you can find a spot.

I SUGGEST YOU DO IT!!!! I was hesitant about doing mine there only because im such a nassau girl and hate traveling. It wasnt bad, took us an hour on a sat afternoon and so many different places to shoot!! No fee, and pics are awesome!! when we went there were many couples there doing the same thing!
i took the last exit right before the bridge and there is a parking garage think it was likE $18 for 2 hours, somthing like that.
Only thing was that day we took pics it was extremely windy so make sure u bring some hairspray or pins if ur gonna have ur hair out.

I am doing my wedding photos there! I grew up in Brooklyn Heights and LOVE the area. You want to take the BQE to exit 28 (Cadman Plaza). Once you are off the highway, you can't miss it! Parking can be a bit expensive but if you allow yourself some time, you can find street parking.

we took our e pics there and there a park below the bridge that beautiful but just a couple of suggestions: 1) there is always traffic so try to go on a weekday ; you will still experience traffic but it wont be bad 2) there are tons of people walking the BK bridge everyday you will not get clear shots of just you guys on the bridge.

Can I make a suggestion? Try Liberty State Park in Jersey City. There's a boardwalk overlooking the water and fantastic views of NYC skyline.
