during vaca, have you ever lied abt being on your hm to get freebies??
soooo last year fh and i went to costa rica (we werent engaged yet) and before we arrived i called and said we were going there on our hm...
when we arrived we got a bottle of champagne, fruits and complimentary dinner to the hotel's restaurant (Best steak ive ever had in my life!!!)
hehehehehe...funny thing is we got engaged during that week...
anyway, so have you ever lied abt you & fh's relationship status while on vaca in order to get freebies?

we did, but got nothing! lol i thought of the idea when we were already there. we went to atlantis last week and everyone kept asking if we were newlyweds, so we said yes... the hotel staff didn't do a thing..oh well!

the only time was when we FIRST started dating, i was 19, he was 25, and we went to Hotel Hershey, getting ready for dinner at their awesome restaurant....
well, i was underage and FH wanted me to be able to drink (wonder why ) so while i was upstairs getting ready, he was at the bar, schmoozing the bartender telling her this terribly romantic story about how we've been together for 2 years, how he knew i was 'the one' since our first vacation (that was our first vacation so i thought that was sweet), and that he's planning to propose to me that weekend.....and naturally, she asked how old we were, he said 'im 25, shes 23' and ive always looked older than i am...
so by the time i came down to the bar, she felt like she knew my life story, assumed I was 23...
needless to say, i wasn't asked for ID ONCE while we were there.....
i ended up puking in the garbage outside in the beautiful gardens at hotel hershey after about 12 cosmos!!!!! CLASSY right????

It reminds me of that Friends episode when Monica and Chandler are on their HM and the couple in front of them at the airport & at the hotel are on their HM and the other couple keeps getting all the HM perks and Monica & Chandler try and get nothing
My travel agent told me that the resorts we're staying at in Fiji for the HM require us to bring our marriage certificate!! No lying at those places! lol

LOL, nope we never tried but when we went to Atlantis 2 years ago, we went to get massages at the spa and they thought we were married and they kept calling me Mrs. Matthews. It wasn't true then but still sounded so nice.

We tried to when we were in Vegas. They were doing special things for married couples. We started to, but then they asked for proof of address to show that we lived together. The funny thing was, we DID live together in our apartment, but neither of us had changed our licenses. So no freebies for us

No and we totally forgot to tell restaurants when we were first engaged! I have a friend that said she milked it for months!

Sort of...on one of the cruises we took last year we said it was our honeymoon but we considered it our honeymoon since we knew it would be a long time before we'd be able to take a honeymoon. We didn't get anything free though, nor did we try. On the phone, the woman asked if we were celebrating anything and I said 'it's kind of a honeymoon'.
