DVD Burner - Help Please

FH wants one for Chrisnukah (our combo holiday) but I don't know where to get the, which one is the best, etc and I don't want to get sucked into some salesguy's web.

Anyone know anything about them?

Try www.Bizrate.com - they have customer reviews on products and they compare prices amongst competiors...I use it to help narrow down the selection...esp when I know nothing about what I want

Re: DVD Burner - Help Please

I got DH a Panasonic DVD-R from Best Buy and he loves it. It was about $300 in July, so it might be cheaper now.

ETA: Not sure if you meant for the computer or TV. I got the one for the TV.
