I'm still trying to decide. I'm thinking of Mexico, Jamaica or Puerto Rico. Uggghhh, I have always have such a hard time trying to make major decisions. I think sometimes I like to do too much research and then I get overwhelmed and have trouble picking what I like best. So far I've loved, Aventura Spa Palace (Riviera Maya, Mexico) and my new love is The Rockhouse Hotel (Negril, Jamaica).

Re: DW Brides: Where is your Wedding?
How many guests are you having? What was your family's reaction to the change in planning? Are you still going to have a full wedding reception when you come back or are you going to simplify it?

We are having about 40 guests. Our familes were cool with (but they know ultimately it is up to us) becasue we just bought a house. We are having an AHR for about 40 people when we return. I am having the DJ I originally booked so I won't loose my deposit play music and show the slide show from our wedding. I am going to have simple beach centerpieces, a small cake and do a Day After Shoot.

We have about 30 guests, and we rented a private villa for the reception. We are getting married on the beach...I can't wait!!

Re: Where is your Wedding?
I am getting married in Hawaii. FH is from Oahu so its not really a destination wedding. I am having a lot of difficulty figuring out where to have it. Unlike LI weddings in Hawaii are not booked more than a year in advance. The Hilton Hawaiian Village and others will not even speak to me until this July a year before the wedding. I hate not being able to PLAN!!!
FI and I went to the Bahamas in 05' and we loved it. We went to the Casino at Atlantis and stayed at Sandals.

Re: DW Brides: Where is your Wedding?
Can you let me know anything about your wedding? I am considering the Atlantis, but I have not found much info on people who have had their weddings there. I definitely don't mind paying the money as long as it is worth it.
