dyeable shoes?
Former David's Bridal employee here! So depending on the color you are dying the shoes it can and will run. If the girls are in shorter dresses and it god forbid rains or even if the grass is wet where they walk they could potentially stain their feet. If it is a light color there is a lot less risk of the color running. Keep in mind the shoes will probably not look as nice once they are dyed, I always took a lot of pride in the shoes I dyed but I cannot say the same for other employees there. What color are you dying them?

It is a little risky esp if they aren't in full length dresses, I always encouraged brides to use a non dyeable shoe, silver would look really pretty with dark purple and you can still ask the girls to all match. Their are some many nice silver shoes out there, I would go that route.

I got my shoes dyed by Casa di Mario in Patchogue and I had no issues.

This. The prices there are much higher then what I would think Davids charges. I got my shoes there and they were $90 and that included the cost of dying the shoes. I think I have a picture of my shoes in my wedding things album.

I know other places can seal them, David's does not.

Can the seal be put on after they are dyed somewhere else? That maybe a stupid question! But I'm clueless!

I don't know, I just did a quick search and didn't find sealant sold anywhere. It might also effect the color of the DB dye. I know that the DB website has more shoes and some of them even come in the color so youldnt have to get them dyed. Try looking there, then you will get the purple shoes you want without having to dye them.
