dyed shoes for BM

dyed shoes for BM

does everyone have their BM dye shoes? do you just ask the BM to wear the same color shoes? (like black?)

2 of my BM want to get dyed shoes to match and the other two want to wear shoes that they already have cuz they dont have money to get new shoes. there has been no agreement on shoes and im affaid a fight will break out over it.

do i just pull a 'im a bride and do what i ask?' thing?

should i go with black shoes? or have the other two buy new shoes or dye a pair that they already have?

their dresses are chainti (deep red/purple) the picture should have come up. if not, there is one in my albumns

this is becoming an issue.... just wondering if anyone had suggestions.

I always felt that the shoes were really only important if the BMs are wearing short dresses. You will barely see the shoes under the dress you picked. If some of your maids are grumbling about money, you might just want to let it go.

Dying shoes that have already been worn never works out. Even if they look completely clean, any little spot that you might not see will pick up the dye differently. They end up splotchy and ugly.

Almost everyone has black shoes, if you want them to coordinate, why not go that route?

ITA.

WHo's gonna see their shoes? At my best friend's wedding, we all just wore black. No one saw them anyway underneath the gowns and they were off halfway through the reception. I don't think anyone will care or that it will ruin anything if they all just wear black shoes (but I would keep them all the same color) as long as they're appropriate for the gown style-wise.

I have similar colored long dresses for my BMs and they are all wearing silver shoes since most of them had a pair already. But black would work too! I wouldn't make them all get dyeables for a long dress, unless they all really wanted them!

My friend had the same problem with her wedding. red dresses to the floor... half of us ended up with silver shoes, the other half had dyed shoes.

you didn't see them in any pictures. no one noticed.
