Re: Dying for the Newlywed Chop!
I planned on cutting it as soon as we got back from the HM but then figured if I waited a few more months I can donate the 10 inches to Locks for Love and still have some length to it....
I have been growing it for 2 years now for the wedding hair of my dreams... whats a few more months of ponytails

I was going to cut it after the wedding (not short) but just shorter and I am LOVING how long it is now sooo I am keeping it this way. We'll see how long it lasts!

Re: Dying for the Newlywed Chop!
I hate how I look with long hair, and I have had short hair for about 7 years now. right after I started dating FH, I chopped it all off, and he loves it. He says I look sexier. I feel sexier with my hair short. I've tried to grow it, but get it to right about under my ears and I cut it .
Ok you asked for it. Here is a picture of me from my bridal shower and then me (with no makeup on) visiting a friend in the hospital last week (cropped out the friend). I also dyed it back to my natural color, bye bye highlights.
I cut 5 inches as soon as we got back from Jamaica, Thank god it was killing me

Re: Dying for the Newlywed Chop!
I can't stand mine any longer. It's so thick and heavy and takes forever to dry in the morning. Everyone keeps asking what I'm doing with my hair??? I thought it was obvious
I just cut mine, too. I got an a-line bob. It's right above my collarbone now! Love it! I have always had such long hair....

awwe that doesn't sound very nice he should love you no matter how you look!! QUOTE]
I don't think he would really leave me- but if he stopped going to the gym and lost all of his muscle I would be upset-
to him and to me- it's like bait and switch- he is marrying a muscular, fit girl with long brown hair- if 1 day after the wedding I chopped off my hair and gained 20 lbs- it would me a little unfair- yes he would still love me- but I wouldn't look the same

I'm cutting mine right after the honeymoon also. It's amazing how much of my life has been put on hold until after the wedding!!

Re: Dying for the Newlywed Chop!
I'm getting mine cut tomorrow night. Actually, I'm keeping it long, but getting more layers cut into it. If I still can't stand it, the next cut will be a chop.

Re: Dying for the Newlywed Chop!
I did it! I loved the haircut I got on my honeymoon, but I recently got one I hate. I still am happy I did it!
Here's my before and after, although my before is from April, and my hair was actually almost down to my waist when I cut it (it grows like weeds!)
I had a trim just before the wedding adn she took 2 inches off... so Now I have to wait for it to be over 10 inches that I want to cut again, so I can donate it (that is what I always do... grow it long, Chop it off, donate it and then grow again)... to Locks of Love... so I have to wait a few more months for it to be longer...
I can't wait to have HASSLE-Free hair!
no more 20+ min to blow dry!!
