Hi everyone! My fiancée and I are newly engaged, and starting to research venues. We are interested in the Dyker Beach Golf Course in Brooklyn and The Carltun in East Meadow. If anyone has any insight on either place it would be most appreciated!

The Carltun is beautiful. I haven't been to a wedding there in years, but I remember I liked the chairs and the decor :) It looks empty though if you don't have a lot of people. I also remember it was a daytime wedding and it felt like it was cut short. I think a night wedding there would be better.

Dyker Beach Gold Course is a beautiful venue. You should definitely make an appointment and go see it. My daughter and her fiance looked at it, but it was too small for their wedding. The cocktail hour is both indoors and outdoors (lovely grounds). The also have a wonderful bridal suite. Good Luck!

Dyker is beautiful and has good food. Carltun is insanely expensive and offers barely any food. It was the highest price we got and we went to like 20 halls1
