Dynasty Limos
Dynasty Limos (631)587-8500 www.DynastyLimo1.com I finally found a limo company that I actually trust! I am using them for my August wedding. They are reputable, and VERY helpful. They told me how most other companies lie in their advertising calling English taxicabs rolls royces, and calling Rolls Royces Bentleys. They own some of their own cars, but the companies that they rent specialty cars from are top of the line. They had a Rolls Royce in their garage and they actually recommended that we use someone else that they deal with who had a nicer one!! The man they sent me to privately owns his Rolls Royce. There are only 3 or so like it on Long Island. It has a moon roof, separator window, and comes with a bucket of champagne. It can seat 4, but the rumble seat folds up so you have a lot of leg room (and dress room!)I inspected the car myself at his home and it is impeccable inside and out. The owner of the car is the only one who drives it and he is very nice. The rates are really reasonable. I just thought I'd let all of you know because I had looked at so many shady companies before them and I know it's tough to find a good one.

Just curious...isn`t there a big difference between English Taxicabs and Rolls Royces? And aren`t Bentleys a type of Rolls Royce? Isn`t it great knowing there are so many companies out there looking to take advantage of couples at a stressful time in their lives? :(

Carrie, Saw your post on the other board so hope this helps. I am also in your situation. I wasn't sure what the rule of thumb is. I asked my dj who is the owner of the company about meals and he said I always get fed so that answers that. Then in conversation he was telling me that he's so good grooms tip him $300 at the end of the night. As far as my photographers in my contract it says if they don't get meals they charge $100 per person. OK! In my photo package I am charged a 10% gratuity charge which comes to almost a $400 tip so I don't think I'll be tipping on top of that! Hope it helps.

Carrie, isn't it ridiculous how much tips add up to? that was extremely tacky for that dj to say he's so good that grooms tip him $300! I've never heard of tipping that much for one person. besides the maitr'e d, who is supposed to get between $2-$3 pp. that adds up! I had 250 people at my wedding, if i would have given $3 pp it would've cost me $750 just for the maitre' d!!! i think we gave 500. Good Luck!

I am glad you saw my post. Thank you for the help. I don't have any guidelines in the contracts, so I think I will ask Sharon, the wedding consultant at the CHCC, for her input on these issues. Does anyone else have any advice on tipping the photographer, band, florist delivery persons? Anyone else debating on whether or not to feed the band a meal when they are working 8PM - midnight?Welcome New Vendors
