What did you wear? Mine is this Sat in my parents backyard.

I haven't had mine yet (Sept 26) but I think I'll wear capries and a cute tank (depending on the weather)..we are also doing it in a backyard

I was debating whether to have one in the yard too?
How long in advance did u give people notice?
Did u jus invite the immediate family??

i wore a simple white dress that i had in my closest from ann taylor- it looked nice because i had a tan

But my engaemnet party was in back yard but my dad wore a jacket and tie and my bother wore a tie - nothing is ever at causal at my house

but my fi just wore a polo shirt and cacky pants

My parents (while complaining) are throwing it for us. We sent out invitations about 1 1/2 months ago. It was very easy to set up. We are renting tents, tables and chairs (they come set it all up for you), having food catered (about $225 for 50 people) then got some heroes, cake, the most expensive thing for us is going to be beer because our friends are weekend alcoholics! But we just invited close friends and family.

FI parents are throwing it for us because I didnt want one..so thats the only reason we are having one

We had our E-party in my parents backyard under a tent. I wore a sundress (above the knee) and my FH wore khaki shorts and a polo shirt.

I wore a dress fro Ann Taylor that I bought for the party. Everyone else wore tshirts and shorts. Mine was also super casual in my dads backyard
