E-PARTY

TO REGISTER OR NOT TO REGISTER?

Re: E-PARTY

We had the same feelings. We decided to register for our china, flatware, stemware and everyday dishware. (These are things we know we like and won't change) before our e-party. We are having our e-party 10/2.......if people ask when they RSVP, we can say where we are registered, this way if they would like to buy us a gift they will feel it is something we are interested in.....

Go for it

Re: E-PARTY

We registered and ended up getting a fairly decent amount from the registry. We didn't do it specifically for the e-party, more to just get it out of the way. But it ended up being a good thing. I'd say over half the gifts were from the registry, and the others were a combination of money or non registry items ... all very beautiful.

We chose not to register.. My FH doesn't want folks to think we are trying to take all their money.. We feel better not registering, we jus want the love & presence of family & friends.. If they chose to give, whatever they give will be appreciated..

It's whatever you feel....

I would definitely recommend it. That way, you get what you want. And if you end up changing your mind, you can always exchange for something else!

Re: E-PARTY

We registered, but we didn't make any formal announcement about registering. If people ask where we're registered, we tell them. If not, they don't have to feel any pressure to purchase a registry gift, or any gift for that matter.

Our party is October 2, too!

our party is 10/2 also.

We registered because most of the people who rsvp'd asked us..

we did not make any announcement either, just told people who asked us

We chose not to because our engagement party was two years before our wedding and didn't want everything to become discontinued.

Re: E-PARTY

Beleive me - register!!! I had my e-party this past Saturday (11th) and I registered. I almost have half of the registry completed! The few that didn't purchase from the registry and didn't bring cash brought something they thought I would like. HHHmmm...how do I say this nicely - everyone has different taste. So I am happy I registered b/c if I didn't, I would have probably ended up with a lot of stuff from people with different taste...and you can't return or exchange it although they say you can- that would just be plain rude...

Register and pick out things that you like and would never spend your money on. For example, I picked out a really cool chip and dip platter that cost $150. I think that's a lot for a chip and dip platter personally! But I am soooo happy I got it b/c I would have never bought it myself!

Best of luck!
