I would invite close family members parent, siblings, close aunts, uncles, those in the wedding party. And if u have some really close friends if they arent in the wedding party I would invite them.

Re: e-party

Sometimes even just close friends and family can turn into alot...FI has 20-something first cousins, plus his aunts and uncles, just his family is about 70 ppl

That's exactly what we did. Just our family and FH's and my friends. We sent out engagement announcements also.

Ours is in a few weeks and it just gets too crazy to invite everyone. We did immediate family (including all first cousins) and the bridal party. That came out to about 85. I didnt even do all my friends, just who was in the bridal party.

I plan on doing this. Since it will be at our new home I am trying to keep under 40 people

Re: e-party

Mine is Jan 28th at a small restaurant in Baldwin and we have to have a 40 person minimum. We didnt want my parents to spend a lot because they are helping with the wedding A LOT, so we just invited immediate family, aunts, uncles, and our bridal party. We will have 50 +/-.

Re: e-party

we arent doing a traditional engagement party because we'd have the whole wedding their because all our family's are HUGE

we havent even started planning anything yet...because of all the holidays. i think we're going to just have our immediate family out for dinner so they can chat and catch up etc.

and we plan on doing something special for our friends/bridal party but at a different time.

i guess it just depends on what you want to do
