I just wanted to see how many of you are having an eparty and how many people are you inviting?
If you already had an eparty, how was it? What was it like?

Re: e party
We're having our eparty next month. We invited about 140 people but we expect somewhere between 90-100. My parents gave us enough money to have a pretty nice party but we decided to go low key and have it at a VFW hall. I figured, the wedding is costing us enough - we dont need to have a wedding sized eparty. We're getting it catered through a great Italian deli and I'm hoping it will be a lot of fun. I made my own invitations and will be making my own centerpieces. WE have to set up the tablecloths and bring in plates and utensils and stuff but I figured it would be worth it over having a huge party at a restaurant or hall. We're banking a majority of money we were given and saving it toward the wedding. Hope this helps!

I had my e-party August 11th 2007 at my mother's house. We had approx 75 people there. I invited everyone except the OOTners and the people that my parents are going to want at the wedding i e their co-workers etc.
I have a couple of pics in my album so you can view our invite, cake, and favor.

Re: e party
We had our eparty in september. It was at a vfw hall and it was so much fun! I really didn't want one, if anything i just wanted a bbq, but my mom insisted. We had about 80 ppl there so I was a little overwhelmed bc we had a lot of diy. But it was a great time and a great decision!

Re: e party
we had like 40 people in my parents backyard for a bbq type thing...really relaxed and low key. In my opinion it isnt necessary to rent anything (if you have the space) and make it wedding like...thats what the wedding is for!

Re: e party
we had one it was pretty big actually. We decided to have one bc we are having a two yr engagement. I would think twice about having one less then a year before the wedding...that year is busy for close family and friends they have the shower gift, weddding gift, any expenses related to the wedding etc. We had 120 people. we rented a huge tent , got a dj, and had servers and helpers set up and clean up. we ordered the food from an itallian rest ( torcellos in elwood)and it was buffet style...the food was awsome. we had 2 cakes and a choc. foutain. it was a black and white theme...white tent, black table cloths. for our centerpieces we went to ikea and they had these sets of white candles at dif hieghts and sizes we used one set per table and got fake white rose pedals from 99 cent store. we put the rose pedals scattered around the candles and got these really cool ICE things.. they were like crystals and scattered them also. I ordered a bunch of paper lanterns on line ( black and white...differe t sizes) and hung them from the tent over the dance floor w/ clear fishing line. we had two bartenders and lots of alcohol. we made up a signature drink...the perfect 'pear'...pear absolute w/ canberry juice....It is an awsome drink, try it and it was a huge hit at the party! it was so much fun and everyone had a great time. I have pictures up in my ablum!

Re: e party
Our eparty is March 29th and we basically decided to have one since we had such a long engagement, nearly two years. We invited 140 and we are still waiting to hear back from some we will probably end up with 100 which is fine by me.

I had mine in September....2 months after we were engaged, we invited just our close family so we had about 50 people and it was in a restaurant we both love. It was a nice intimate celebration
