We didnt have one... We both didnt see the point in it so there was no discussion of one... Would have loved to have an informal kind of gtg but we both dont have any kind of yard

we may not have one although we talk about doing one in our backyard....but i don't want to have to deal w/ the mess afterward. Beside FH and I are spotting the wedding that's costing us a lot of $$$$$

dont' know if an e party is in the budget.... Don't feel bad, your guests are getting a fabulous wedding anyway.!

We're not really having one... I invited my close friends, my and FH's immediate families and grandparents to my mom's house for a BBQ but that's it.

We both have huge families so it would have been really hard to do it unless we wanted to spend a lot of $$.

Dont get me wrong, I tihnk they are great. But I just feel terrible throwing a party and feel bad that people will give gifts for the e party, shower and wedding. Even if you say no gifts, people will anyway. Plus the cost to throw one.

We're having one. The reason why I am doing this is because I have some elderly and sick relatives that may not make it to the wedding. I wanted to celebrate with them.

We aren't having one. Didn't want to spend the extra money for another party and I didn't feel right about having people spend more money on gifts.

we're having one, but just a pool party/ bbq thing. We're making FH's huge family cook the food, getting a keg, and just having fun with friends and family! No CPs, gifts, or anything like that.

we only had one b/c we were able to coincide it with my bday...other than that we would not have done one and by no means was it fancy at all...we did at home and make it a cooky pirate theme...we got hats and eye patches and balloons and packed as many people as we could in our apartment ...it was the best party ever!!!

maybe you can do something small like that...

We weren't going to have one but we were invited to so many that we decided to at the last minute, plus it coincides with FH's 30th birthday. It will just be a small bbq in our backyard w/ family and our bridal party. Plus FH and I have been together for over 10 years so I figured we deserved to celebrate as often as possible :)

We're not really having one either although I did want one. We are doing a family get together in 3 weeks and one of my Fh's aunts house. This way my parents can meet his extended family. He has a way bigger and closer family then I do and I really wanted my parents to know them before the wedding. They're so good to my FH and I!!
