Hey ladies, Has anyone had their E-party at their house? I am planning a party at my parents house. We plan on having about 50-60 people. We are going to have it catered but what do you think we should do as far as drinks? Can you hire a bartender or is it better to just serve yourself??

I think its completely fine if you set up a bar area and have people serve themselves

I agree, totally fine to set up a bar yourself.

This....my parents have a big backyard and a pool and have hosted many casual parties for 50-60 people and this has been fine.
We are having our e-party there, just a casual bqq. Catered because its 80 people but a self serve bar!

Re: E-Party
Im having my e party at my house....its gonna be like 50 adults and a bunch of kids. I have lots of parties and usually my house is very self serve....but I think for the e-party I'm going to hire two ppl. One to serve drinks (and keep the teenagers away from the keg!) and another to serve/clear plates. I hate doing the work and missing the whole party like I usually do.

I think it is completely fine to have a self-serve bar. We always have tons of backyard parties and we always have self-serve bars. When we have big parties though we usually hire a waitress or two to set-up food, clear food, and clean-up.

I think its fine to have a self serve bar but I know myself, and I'd worry. Are we running out, who needs more, etc... Maybe if you had whoever was clearing off plates and such make sure it was always stocked and nothing was needed (cut lemon/lime wedges) then you'd be better off. Thats just me though...

Re: E-Party
Get a bartender, there nothing like being served alcohol. As long as drinks are flowing your E party will be awsome
