Ok so our engagement party is 10/29/11. my paretns are throwing it for us and we are having about 80 people. I am torn tbwn doing table seating and not. At my daughter communion it turned into a huge mess, and so many of my bridal aprty doesnt knwo each other and some are out of town and do not even know anyone other then FH or me... what do you guys think, is it too much to do seating for an E Party?

I think you should do no seating. I think everyone will be fine! You have enough to worry about!

We had 92 people at our engagement party and 10 tables with 10 chairs at each and it was fine. People were able to move around and did not feel stuck at one table. I would not worry about it.

i had about 60 at my e-party last weekend and i did seating...reason being that i had couples and singles and family and i knew certain people would feel more comfortable with certain people...i didn't want to end up with an empty seat here and there and have a couple with no place to sit together...it just put me more at ease knowing people had a place...it was a brunch buffet so people got up an mingled on their own quite frequently...
