I am having an EXTREMELY casual engagement party in future brother-in-law's backyard in june. Do you think it is necessary to give out favors? When we had my Brothers e-party 4 years ago in a yacht club we didn't.
What is your opinion?
I am trying to keep in as cheep as possible!

Re: e-party favors?
my mom made the centerpieces for the tables. It was a small terra cotta pot with silk flowers in it and a beautiful ribbon guled around the top rim. she bunched a few on each table to make a full centerpiece. Then at the end of the night...each woman got to take one home. The guys didnt care about it!! LOL we also had a very casual backyard party.
It is definatly not nessesary!
Good Luck! Lisa

IMO if you have a party you have to give a favor!

I don't think you need to give a favor if its a casual party in a backyard.

I also don't think you need a favor for a causal party. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice gesture, but I've never received a favor from casual parties.

Hey have you thought about giving away like those personalized Chocolate Bars? They cost about 1.50 each and you can put anything you want on them. They are a vendor on here - Announce it with Chocolate I think is their name.

I don't think its necessary at all, especially for a casual backyard party.
