E-party gift???

E-party gift???

I am going to an e-party this weekend and FH is in the wedding but we are not sure what we should give the couple as a gift. The rest of FH's friends who are in the wedding say to give a gift card....but they are all being very cheap about it and I said maybe we should do something separate. What is a good gift idea or if we do a gift card how much is appropriate??? We havent had our e-party yet so I can't go based on what others would give to us....help!!!

they are having the party at a place.....Shandon Court I believe......(hope I spelt that right)......I know the proper gift would be money....but the wedding is about 3 yrs away and they are having 3 e-parties......How much would you give? Keep in mind this is his close friend he went to HS with.

personally for e-parties i give around $200...you can do $150 for you and fh though or whatever you're comfortable with

when i was in my friend's wedding we put $150.00 in the card because i grew up with and am still very close with both the bride and groom. It was all i could afford at the time.. but i felt it was an appropriate amount for the eparty. Me and FH split it.. so it wasn't too bad on either of our pockets ( we were both in between jobs at the time so it was rough for us money wise )

wow $200?? What would you give for the wedding if I may ask.......?
I don't want to be cheap about it especially since he is in the wedding but I think if i told you what his other friends approached my FH with as far as what they should give it was totally embarrassing and not enough money.

at our party, the gits averaged from $50-75/pp. We got more cash than gift cards, but we definitly appreciate both as much as the other. We are saving our gift cards to buy the dyson

I agree with you...thats what we were giving also

WE give about $150-$200 for an e-party and between $350-$500 for a wedding depending on its location, how well we know the person, etc.

I would say for good friends at least 150.

our eparty gifts averaged about $50 pp but it was a backyard event so it may be different for something at a hall/restaurant...

we also got TONS of things off of our registry which was great since we are moving in together in 2 weeks and had NOTHING

I would say at least $50 pp, maybe $75. That was the average we got at our e-party in cash and gift value. Closer friends and relatives gave more.

well $200 would be from me and FH not me alone. For a wedding depends how close i am to the ppl but Fh and i will leave $300...but sometimes we leave different amounts, for example were going to a wedding on a sunday, now this couple didnt have an e-party and we did so they gave us money at the e-party and will at the wedding so were leaving $500

I would honestly give about 100 or 150 each person depending on where it is.
