e-party?! HELP!!!!

Ok, who's having an E party, where are you having it, how many people, are you doing favors? I'm at a complete loss! FMIL told us she'll give us some $$ towards the party, but we're still undecided as to what we'd want and how many people and where, so basically, we're undecided about everything having to do with the party, lol. one good thing, she said the $$ is for the party, the wedding or apartment stuff (not including the other help she's giving towards the wedding) which is super nice of her and pretty sweet. Sooo come on ladies, help me out!

we had ours at Charlie Browns Steakhouse in Garden City Park, with about 25 people. They have a back room that holds up to 30, and for favors we did little packets with flavored coffee (chocolate, tia maria, Frangelico) that we got from 5 continents, and little chocolate hearts from around Valentines day sales

not having one...but why don't you have a BBQ at a family member's backyard or something?

its something casual and fun and then you can do something like mini bottles of bbq sauce with personalized labels that say something cute on it

We are having out eparty at a catering hall (Roma View) in Queens. I like it there a lot...we are spending a lot on this party...and its really turned into a mini wedding! It is costing close to 10 grand...which is really not what I wanted to spend...but our guestlist got out of control...

that is really nice that fmil has offered to give you some money towards the party.

We arent really having a theme...and we ordered our favors from favorfavor.com...the ones that I was raving about...they are measuring spoons that have really cute sayings on them!

thats my exact fear, that the guest list will be out of control.

I feel like 'If you invite this person, then you have to invite that person' Its annoying...but I actually took off family member that I dont care for, and wont miss if they are not there...so that was the way that I did it...However my parents are not happy with this...I really didnt care...lol

We had our party at the hibernian in baylon, and kept the guest list toabout 60 people. I had an outside caterer come in to do food for us and had a dj come in. It didnt cost much...if you want a price breakdown of what i spent FM me, it wasnt bad at all.

My friend did a renewal of her vows ceremony and reception there. She was married in Vegas and for their one year anniversary they did a renewal so that everyone could be there. Marconi manor is nice and the food is good

We are having our engagement party at Verdi's of Westbury on a Saturday night. We are having 120 people. FH and I wanted a big party since we are having a 2 year engagement. Yes, it has turned into a mini wedding but I can't wait. We are paying for this ourselves by the way.

i went to marconi manor for an unlces 70th birthday party. i had never heard of it before. i guess its a little popular since a few of you have had things there. i'm more confident about the selection now that the two of you girls have also commented on teh quality of food. yay!!

Re: e-party?! HELP!!!!

We are doing a small one at my house (yea small for our family is 75 guests who we invited!) We cut the list to immediate family (cousins, uncles and aunts) and bridal party. Everyone so far seems to understand so we havent had any problem with it. I just explained to those who werent invited that it was a chance for the families to meet and for the bridal party to get to know each other.
