E-party question

E-party question

OK ladies I have been back and forth about the idea of having an e-party. Initially I wanted to have it on July 4th weekend since we are getting married next July 4th. Now it's to late for the 4th but I was thinking of the last week in July. Do you ladies think it would be inappropriate to have the e-party at our house, hosted by us? I just want to make it convenient for guests and I think our house is easy for everyone to get to. I also would like to tell guests not to bring gifts just want to use it as a way for both the families to meet each other.

edited for spelling

I think its perfectly fine to have it at home. I know a lot of people who have gone that route and it turned out wonderful!

def. have it at home and do it last week in July. Just my thoughts, I wouldn't do it July 4th this year. I hate to sound harsh, but you are asking folks to give you two years worth of July 4th's.

No it's not inappropriate to host your e-party at your home. A lot of couples nowadays host their own parties. I think it's even better because you have more control & can basically do anything you guys wanted at your own party. Usually, gifts are not expected on e-parties but if you feel more comfortable you can put it on your e-invites. I would suggest though you register for a few items (just in case some family members or close friends would like to bring a gift). Have fun & Grats!

Absolutely do it. FH and I did that exact thing except it was Memorial Day weekend and my parents hosted it with us.
