E-Party registry!

Girls,

MY FSIL told us today that FMIL wanted toknow if we wanted an engagement party...we said sure...nobody has mentioned it before and we did not really expect it...so I guess there is going to e one...ANYWAYS, we are now going to head to Macys (or do it online) to do a small registry....just so we do not get crystal and lenox (stuff we are not into)

Anyways, I have seen the big checklists for registries, however, we want to have it smaller...any suggestions on what to put on it? We both TOTALLY are in love with the smoothie maker! LOL..but I mwean as far as dishes, glasses, etc....

(holding off on towels and sheets till the wedding registry!)

We are registering for small stuff.

We are putting on a blendar, coffee maker, maybe glasses.

oooh a smootie maker that sounds good. Definatly put that on.

Maybe put your toasting flutes and cake cutting set on there.

We have a crock pot, deep fryer and george forman grill and LOVE all 3 so maybe you can put those on your registry.

Maybe some pots and pans? I would go with kitchen stuff for a smaller registry

Please don't take this wrong, but are you supposed to have a registry for an E-party? I thought people are not supposed to give gifts for that.

We weren't going to register for our e-party but people kept asking us where we were registered so we registered for a few things. I don't think it is bad to register for an e-party. People usually get you something anyways, so why not get something you like.

Good point. I'm not up on bridal etiquette yet, I guess. People are already asking me where we're registered, and I feel like we just got engaged! Our wedding's not until next June!

I did not think you registered for it either, but so many people have been asking us what we want...etc...so we figured we would put together a small registry....our wedding is not until October 2004, so we think its waaaay to early to register....and its in the fall....things will definitely change...but just to pacify some people, going to go ahead and do it....

Re: E-Party registry!

Since your wedding is pretty far off, I would just work on registering for kitchen items; appliances, dishes, china, flatware, crystal. Things that won't get discontined and won't change. That's what I did when I had my engagement party. Then I added on a whole bunch of stuff for the bedroom and bathroom for the shower.

I received gifts for my engagement. I didn't even have a party. I got engaged in January adn people started askign about my registry sometime in March so we went and put some things on it.

How about stuff like your cake topper/cake server and toasting flutes.

How about everyday dishes, coffee pot, espresso/cappuciono maker, waffle maker, mixing bowls, baking sheets and pans, a good blender, hand mixer, there's that really cool Kitchenaid mixer too.

Re: E-Party registry!

ok...I went to Macys today alone because FH sais he hates to shop! I registered for our toasting flutes (the same ones at JennBaby's----I LOVE THEM SO MUCH), smoothie maker, mini food chopper, some glasses, dishes, a few gadgets---pizza cutter, slotted spoons, etc (we live together but have the 9.99 plastic spatulas, etc...) also registered for fajita cast iron thingy...mixing bowls....I was very overwhelmed in there and I am going to go back over it online to add/delete things...
