We had our e-party at Marco Polo restaurant in Brooklyn on Saturday. Just wanted to recommend it to everyone. They have a large private room upstairs with its own bar and bathrooms. They do a lot of small weddings in this room. But they can put up a wall to make it smaller if you need it. The food was excellent and the staff very accomadating with some of our special requests. Also, the price was fairly reasonable considering it is in a trendy section of brooklyn for a cocktail hour, 3 course meal, cake and open bar. I recommend it to anyone looking for a private room to host an e-party, shower, or rehersal dinner. FM if you would like further details

I love Marco Polo. The food is great. my uncle and his wife actually had to have their wedding there after the hall they booked declared bankrupcy 3 months before the wedding ( they never got any of their money back either! )
I am so glad that you enjoyed it and had a good time. When in Brooklyn it's definitely worth the visit.
Incidentally, are you from Bklyn?

I used to live there. We moved to Caroll Gardens last year. I love both areas.

I've lived in PS my whole life, but I had a lot of friends in Carroll Gardens growing up and go on Court and Smith all the time. both nabes are nice, but have changed dramatically.
