Hi ladies. I have to schedule my e-photo shoot with 12th night. it is an 'on-location' shoot either at the Garden City Gazebo or the Roslyn Duck Pond (though most likely at the Gazebo- duck droppings ICK)
the thing is I live in Brooklyn and right now Dominic is only doing WEEKDAY shoots....
I am trying to figure out a few things
1) what time of day would be best for the pics
2) should I take a day off for this....or go the LI from the city after a long days work- no hair done, no make up (I can't put it on myself )
I am looking for advice and insight here. what you would all do?
TIA!

Re: e-photos- opinons and LI knowledge please!
Considering our e-shoot with Dom took less than 1/2 hour, I wouldn't lose a work day over it. He's only doing daytime now because it's wedding season...can you wait until the fall to do them on a weekend? It would be beautiful with the leaves!

I have the same problem you do. I also booked 12th Night. I might just have to take a day off of work and go get at least my makeup done for the engagement shoot.
I think with this heat the perfect time would be around 5pm.

I love the Roslyn Duck Pond. I recommend that place MORE than Garden City Gazebo as there are more photos ops (lake, trees, benches, watermill, etc). We took ours there last week and our pictures were so wonderful. Took around a half hour or so. We did it in the drizzling rain too...wouldn't know it from the pics.

For our e-pics, the latest he would do was 5 p.m. b/c of light & such. I ended up leaving work early to have hair/make-up done. Maybe you can do the same? You don't want to be all stressed, racing around.

I just got mine done at Garden City Gazebo and they came out great.
It's still light out for a while, so we didn't do them until 6:30PM or so. It only took 20-30-minutes.

I wouldnlt do it took close to sunset because the light will be too harsh and too far to one side (harsh shadows)...maybe late afternoon?

we still have ours to schedule but Dom had told us that we could pick other places as long as we know theres a traveling fee of its far away
Was anyone else told this?
I was hoping to have my pictures taken at Sands Point Preserve

I was told the same thing. I wanted to take my e-pics in the city but I didn't want to pay another $300. I'm already spending enough on photos.
