E Pics..

I was told that it's difficult to do E pics at the beach b/c sand could get in lenses of cameras and stuff - my place wants to take inside in their studio

That kinda pissed me off - so they agreed they would do the beach, but w/e

Is this complete nonsense?
I see MOST ppl have E pics at the beach!

Plus they are charging me $300 - is that a lot?
(I didnt get it included in my package, b/c I didnt think I would get them, but changed mind)

hmmm it might be true but e-pics are taken at the beach ALOT and so are wedding pics so its definitely something that is manageable

Well i have it included in my package, but i think thats around the average price if you have to pay for it...i think ive even seen it for more

Alot of the photographers actually recommended going to the beach...so not sure why your place said no. We had ours included so I am not sure what is a good price.

I don't think that is a lot though. Normal e-pics if not included in your package I think run between 300-500 dollars.

I did get my e-pics included but I did see they charged $600 as a separate price. I have also seen them for $500 so i think $300 is a fair price.

$300 seems high but I only got 1 estimate. ($100 and I think maybe $50 for proofs). They were not included in my package and he was going to blow one up to be framed at the wedding reception. This guy works out of a studio in his house and was cheaper on all packages than most because he has no overhead.- so again- I'm not sure if $300 is high.

It sounds to me like they are trying to make it easier on themselves by doing it in studio. Stick to your guns and make them come to the beach if that's what you want. Especially if you are paying for it. Many people had them taken at the beach so its not unheard of t all.

ETA- haha- wow- seems like my guy is a cheapo...lol

the only reason we were told that the beach wasnt the best idea is b/c there is just sand and water.
which is fine, and makes for gorgeous photos but we mentioned we wanted a lot of differant looks, and the beach just wouldnt be able to give us that.

i think it's total BS that your photographer told you that. people take pictures at the beach all the time, what about all those bikini shoots??

and $300 seems to be about right for the shoot fee.

Re: E Pics..

Originally it wasn't included or mentioned in our contract but we negotiated with the photographer and had it thrown in no charge.

We took ours in Bellport which was really nice. We had a small patch of beach, trees, gazebo and dock.

Unfortunately i'm still waiting to get them back, but it'll only be two weeks tomorrow since we took em so i'm not freaking out too much.

Maybe you can negotiate?
