E Pics how do you convince him?

I just had the same issue with DH and our trash the dress shoot. He kept asking, 'do we really have to? Haven't we already spent enough money?'

I asked that he just suck it up and do it because he loves me and it will make me happy

FH knows how important pictures are to me and that I like to have nice pictures of us. I basically told him that it's not just going to be taking these pictures and we just have them for ourselves, but that we can utilize them in the wedding (we did a Photo Guestbook using the pictures and enlarged a couple of them for frames). He was too keen on it the entire time but once we got the pictures back he really did like them a lot and was happy that we had the pictures.

My friend who took them actually would love to do another shoot with us (an informal one) but there is no way I can convince him LOL. I am going to be doing a TTD shoot with her after the wedding and as much as I would love FH to do it with me, I'm not going to force him.

my FH is the same way and at first he didn't want to do them either
but when we booked our photog, they suggested it bc it helps u get to know how ur photog works and how the 3 of you will interact...makes things smoother day of
thats how my FH eventually decided it was a good idea, but we haven't taken those epics yet

i also convinced him to do separate e-pics in philly (since we live here) and he was surprisingly all for that idea bc he saw how much meaning this city has for us, so u can try and sell him on picking a spot that means a lot to the two of u

I didnt give him the option, I just told him what day he has to take off of work and where he has to be

Tell him you wan to make sure the photographer knows how to make you two look nice for the wedding. It worked for FH and then I showed him some example pictures. Let him feel involved by asking him to choose the location too!

Definitely this....you need to see your photographer in action....much different than just meeting them in an office. You will also feel much more comfortable on the day of the wedding to see a familiar face.

This is what we did. Neither one of us were crazy about E pics. We're not picture people in general. This was the reason we did it. I told him that I would rather be out a small deposit if we don't like the pics then being out good wedding photos when it's too late. He couldn't argue with that reasoning.

hahah yea, this is a good approach! hahaha

FH didnt really want to do it, but he went along cause i wanted them. and he LOVES our e-pics!!
and its a good way to meet your photog and see how you come out in pictures and stuff. also, you use the same photog on the day of, so if you end up not liking your e-pics, then you prob wont like your wedding day pics........

Oh i like that! I was thinking of doing pics in Seattle (where we live) obvi with a diff photog, but bc the wedding is still a year and a half away and I want something for the STD's and announcing the engagement and everything

that's exactly what I said....if they are free he was ok with it. He ended up loving doing them, we had a great time and now he can't wait to have more pics taken!

I told FH that I want to do epics - he's like what the cr*p is that? LOL He's not very go with the flow....how did you all convince your FH's to take the pics?

They came with my photography package.. FH wasn't going to waste the money so there was no convincing needed.

I told him it was included in our package so we were essentially paying for it. He did it but complained before, during, & after

I told him he didn't have a choice.
