E-pics in Babylon area

We booked our e-pic shoot for October 16th! We want to pick 2 locations, so the we picked argyle park in babylon, but we are trying to think of another location closeby. The photographer said to think of a park and a building/monument, etc for the other location. Any ideas are appreciated!!

the docks are a good idea. Also, there are a lot of coll spaces in the village. Some of the restaurant are really nice inside and some are historic. I know the carriage house has a really cool bar area. There is also the fire house, the historical society, and the old bank building.

also, it might be cute to take pics in the library which is close to argyle.

If you go down Fire Island Avenue and follow the signs to the municipal marina you can see the Robert Moses Bridge. It's very nice
There aren't too many historical buildings in Babylon, the town hall is ok but nothing magnificently large.

These ideas are all very close, so it's not like we can't do 3 locations.... thanks so much!

even just taking them on the streets of babylon or at the train station ... i have some wedding pictures that we took near the shops and buildings and i thought they came out great.. another 2011 bride took her pictures at the train station and they were amazing (my mom refused to let me take my pictures there)

if you're familiar with the area.... head east a bit into west islip. there is a church being taken down across the street from CVS on Montauk Hwy. Its a bit erie looking but i guarantee it will make an AWESOME backdrop for your pics!!

I live 2 minutes away from that CVS ...thanks. I'm going to drive past today!

I said in another post that I wasn't sure about Venetian Shores... let me correct myself...
I was there today and the view is STUNNING !

I had in my head the idea that VS was kind of crummy but I think it was recently 'built up' in the last few years. That would be a great place to go

Re: E-pics in Babylon area

We just did our shoot this weekend with Benchwerk at Bellmont Lake Park - it's less than 10 mins from the village if you are looking for some scenes with nature. We were going to split the shoot between Argyle and the park but there was a fair this weekend so we couldn't. I would have liked some city shots but there are some great photo opps in the park though so I know I will be thrilled. I would go down there and walk around a bit. After you park, go to the left trails - there is a small waterfall (very small), a nice bridge you could go under and some nice groomed trees and grassy shots - not to mention all of the great trails. One tip - relax! It took us a while to loosen up, but by the time we did we were having a blast and the pictures are probably going to be so much better. Have a great time - good luck! I will post some pics - I am getting a sneak peak this week.

We were looking into doing our wedding pics at Belmont Park, so I called there office to see if there is a fee, didn't want any surprises the day of.

There is a $100 permit fee and because I have a party bus there is a $75 parking fee.

That stinks. We didn't need a permit or anything since it was just us and the photographers...$8.00 per car on the weekend.
