Hi Everyone! Brand new to posting although I've been silently stalking these boards since I found LIW a couple months ago lol. Anyway you are all so helpful so I figure I will post my first of many questions! Bf any I are not yet engaged but have been ring shopping lately and he wants me to quickly make a decision of what kind of ring I like I've always wanted a round solitaire but cannot find any wedding bands I like to go with it! I've also found one setting I like, mostly because it has a matching wedding band. So... can anybody offer suggestions for a wedding band to go with the solitaire? Or should I go with the ring setting with the matching band? TY!!!

Re: E Ring?
Have you tried on both? I think they are both beautiful. Sometimes when we try it on it helps to confirm what we want and like or in some cases turns our decision a different way. I always wanted a solitaire. When I started looking at pictures I liked the three stone. When we tried on I didn't like the solitaire and three stone on my finger. Go figure! I had tried something like your first one without the band and loved it. I tired on a ring that had diamond vertical from left to right. I thought it was so hot and different. Well fh found an awesome setting that was even better than the one I tried on! Good luck and hth! You can look at my engagement ring picture to get an idea.

I agree, you need to get some rings on your fingers and see which one feels the best, i thought i wanted a emerald cut, but when i started to actually try on rings I liked cushion cut on my finger! good luck and happy shopping!

Your ring is beautiful!!!! I've tried them both on and really loooove the solitaire (which seems to be the overall vote lol)...until I add a wedding band and then I just don't love it anymore Can anybody post some ideas of pretty wedding bands to go with solitaire engagement rings?

Re: E Ring?
There's SOOOO many options of wedding bands to go with if you choose the classic tiffany style setting. It's a personal preference really. If you want a plain band, what kind of plain band, eternity ring, what kind of eternity ring, what size diamonds on the eternity ring. half band. Or if you want a band like the first picture, a band that wraps around your engagement ring diamond. But remember if you don't wear them together you'll have a curved ring, if you don't mind that then that is fine.
You need to set a budget too and find out around what size diamond he may get for you because different bands may look different from what you pictured with the diamond you actually get. You probably don't want a wedding band that will overpower your engagement ring's diamond. You also probably don't want to get a wedding band with diamonds with a better color than your engagement ring because it will make your e-ring look yellow. Well that's my taste anyways, Good luck!
Have fun!!
I personally like mini bling on the bands! here's my ring. I think I'm getting the matching wedding band this weekend finally!! YAY!!!

Thank you! Have you tried on different bands with the engagement ring? I feel with a solitaire it opens you up to make different possibilities with a band. You could have diamonds or not. Do you plan on wearing both rings after you are married? I am a nurse. I never wear my e-ring to work. But I will wear my band. So it was important to me to have the band look good alone and together with my e-ring. That's another thing to add to what to consider! hth and happy ring picking!

This totally!! I have a solitaire cushon cut and ended up getting an all diamond band, which looks great with solitaire. Plus, if I don't want to wear the e-ring, I can just wear the band by itself. Someone gave me a tip when picking out my wedding band...make sure you like the band by itself and I took that advice! Good luck

Re: E Ring?
I admit I'm biased - - I love my rings. the E-ring is a high setting so my wedding band sits flush to it. So perhaps a high setting for the solitaire would give you more options for the wedding band. here's pic of mine and they are not a set - - we searched alot and found a near match which is what I wanted, not an exact match. So keep looking.
