E-ring Insurance

TIA

ETA: I don't own a home so I don't have homeowner's insurance...I don't have renter's insurance either

You can have the ring added onto a homeowners policy. You can also get insurance through Chubb insurance. It should'nt be more then a few hundred a year. My FH did it for me so I don't know the exact pricing. You just need ot make sure you have the appraisal before contacting them.

I used jeweler's mutual, you can do just a jewelry policy through them based on the value of the ring. First you have to have the ring appraised.

I had my ring appraised by Jewelry Judge (Garden City) and got insurance through (Jewelers Mutual)...you need the appraisal to get the insurance...the price of the insurance is based on the appraisal of your ring.

I got my ring appraised and then took it to where I get my car insurance. I also don't have homeowners so it has it's own policy now...I think it's also known as a floater?! It should not be more than $140 a year (that's what the appraiser told me)....HTH

Used them too. But just a warning - make an appointment directly with Barry - do not accept an appointment with anyone else.

I got my insurance through Chubb too. I think it was $40 for every $1,000 the ring was appraised for.

I got mine through State Farm, where my car is insured. It's a personal articles policy. Very inexpensive. All I needed was the appraisal.

Another quick question....when you get insurance for your ring are there different plans?

I guess my question is what happens if, God forbid you lose the ring? Do different insurance plans have different policies?

Hope I made sense!
