Re: E-ring Insurance
We got a renter's plan for 20 a month and the ring insurance was an add-on. It was 10 a month extra. All through state farm.

Basically you insure you ring against theft and damage, if something should happen to it. I heard that for those who own homes or rent they can put a 'rider' on their insurance for their jewelry but their are other companies that will insure it by itself.

Re: E-ring Insurance
I just did mine. You need to have either renters or homeowners to insure it. Because I have car insurance with Geico and called to get a quote for my ring, and they said no. We have our renters insurance with state farm and they add on a personal property. It was about $100 for the year.
Just make sure you insure it against everything, not sure against theft. Like if a stone falls out, it should be covered.

Re: E-ring Insurance
i did mine through www.jewelersmutual.com you can calculate a free quote based on how much your ring is worth...
i got it appraised and then you just fill out the application with the payment (i did no deductible plan so my payment was higher, but still not bad) and send it in w/ the appraisal certificate
