E-ring insurance

i did a search & noticed that this was a post in June but i just wanted to let everyone know that if you can get insurance you should. i was on the jam packed train this morning & all of a sudden this woman started screaming. so i turned around to see what was going on & she noticed that she lost her engagement ring. she started hyper ventilating & hysterical crying. i am filling out the paperwork this weekend.

this also happend to a co-worker of mine & her FH replaced her ring within a couple of days. my FH has already told me that he wont be nearly as generous if i ever lost mine.

To answer the above two questions:

Mine was an additional $100 on top of my renters insurance.

All companies do it. You can add to your renters or homeowners. If you don't have either, you can add it to your parents homeowners if you live with them.

I got mine within the first week of having the ring. We got the ring policy in addition to our long over-due renters policy. We used State Farm and I think we pay 20$ a month for everything.

Ahh that is soo sad, I got insurance a week after FH proposed. Its on my parents homeowners insuance since I live with them, I think the cost depends on the cost of the ring

It does. You have to bring the appraisal with you to get the policy

FH had mine insured even before he gave it to me. The jeweler that he went to did everything

I wonder if that was me???? I lost my ring, I work in a laboratory so I believe when I took my gloves off it went with them into the trash. My FH happened to buy the ring on clearence only a few months before and I found the ring again at clearance price so we repurchased it. Both times from Zales with life-time protection plan, but this time I paid the extra $ for theft and have the reciept for my insurance company to add that to my insurance policy.
