E-Ring Insurance

Hello ladies

I need advice I live at home with my parents so have no type of home owners/renters insurance to add my ring to. I feel bad asking my parents to add it to their policy so I was wondering if anyone knows of an insurance company that will insure my ring alone. Im freaking out because it has been almost 2 months and I havent done any damage but I am very rough on my hands and feel like Im playing russian roulet here. HELP!!!!!!

I don't have the paper in front of me, but I'm pretty sure I went through Jewelers Mutual. The jeweler I bought my ring from suggested them. I thought their price was reasonable for a year and they take individual pieces. HTH!

My friend got separate insurance it it was a couple of hundred for the year. I asked my parents and they put it on their homeowner's policy. It was only $115 for the year, I think. I am giving them the money because I didn't think it was right for them to pay the extra money. It was really easy.

I went through Jewelers mutual... you can insure it right on line - just email a copy of the appraisal.. a friend of mine who is in insurance checked the company out and they are EXTREMELY reputable and have been around for AGES!! It look me a total of 10 minutes to complete the form and send them my appraisal.. I received the paperwork within a week --- it is also VERY reasonable!

DO NOT add to any homeowners policy - my friends in insurance and the biggest misconception is that under homeowners it is fully covered but it is not. Do a seperate policy with any insurance company. Mine is State Farm

I used Jewelers Mutual as well for several years until we finally added it to our home owners insurance they were very good, never had a problem and they allow you to pay for the insurance in full or bi-yearly.

Just put it under your parents Homeowners policy. Its called a jewelry floater, like an addition to their HO policy. (I work in this field). And if you feel bad, you can just pay for it. Trust me, it really should not be more than $150-200 a year, unless you have a huge ring. all you need is an appraisal, call your insurance co, fax it to them, and they will prepare the jewelry policy for you in a day or so. its really easy.

mine is insured through state farm- FH got the GIA certificate and got it appraised and brought the info to his state farm agent- it is insured for the amount that it was appraised for and they will replace it if lost/stolen or if a diamond goes missing they will match that amount. it is $89 per year

I have my ring insured through them too, and it is super easy to do and prices are not bad at all.

I added it to my parents Home Owners. It was $135 a year. My ring is what I would call average long island bride size/ apraised. If your ring is valued lower then the insurance is cheaper.
