E-ring question?

E-ring question?

I feel really lousy, but for some strange reason, why do I want to change my e-ring and wedding band style. ? Is this normal? I mean, I have pictures of my ring during my wedding and to change it at this point would be stupid? I don’t know why I am feeling this way? I guess, I am truly ungrateful? People tell me, my ring is preety, but I think it is boring. I guess, the same thing happened, when I was picking over and over my wedding dress.

Am I the only one with these doubts?

I just spoke to a newlywed and he said, it is way to soon to change it? What do you girls think. I have not told anyone else

i don't think you're wrong for wanting something else, but it might a be little early to be changing something you just received. i don't know. i really feel e-ring cases (and in this case the wedding ring too) are VERY personal. only you know your husband, finances and yourself to be able to determine if asking for new style is an OK thing to do.

I personally think it's too soon to make any changes. I know that my DH would be really hurt and I would never do that to him. If you think your DH would be understanding, than go ahead and talk to him about it. I do believe that you should be happy with your ring, but I'm sure your DH put a lot of time and thought into purchasing your e-ring and I'm guessing that you had a role in picking your wedding band. I just think it may be too soon to pick up the added expense. JMHO

If you want to change it, then why not change it??

Ladies, i love all the different views.. I agree with it, I think, I want to keep the center stone, but maybe put baguettes on the side, that would def. change everything. Then, I could maybe opt for a funky wedding band...

DH would be so angry though, I wonder if he will notice I changed it?

The reason being I was thinking of a change, because it has no contrast to it

The band is a simple channel setting...

i like it, its classic. there's never going to be a point that you'll outgrow it or it won't be stylish.

I have the same rings but in white gold!
I am sometimes not a fan as well. I don't like the way my wedding band looks alone- I guess that is my biggest peeve about the set.

But then I think about my mother, who changed her original setting to some really cheesy 70's setting with a jacket.
It was so out of date now, that she was sick of it and she finally changed it... to the same setting as mine.

Re: E-ring question?

Hello Ms. Picky... lol

One Q for you: did you absolutely love it when he proposed, or have you always had your reservations about it?

Reason I ask is because if you always felt lukewarm about it, then you probably missed your chance by getting a matching band...

...HOWEVER, if anything, you can try to 'spice it up'. A lot of couples have a casual & extravagant wedding set... maybe you can get another set that better suits you, and wear it on special occasions, and keep the current one as a daily one? BUT, I would definitely wait a year or two before I'd ask for it. You can ask of it as an anniversary gift. But yea, you'll break DH's heart if u tell him it's boring... lol.
