Havent been in the ocean with it on... When I went on a cruise, I left it in the safe in the room when I went out on excursions and such... If something were to happen to it, I have insurance so I'm not terribly worried!
BUT I did wear it in the pool when I went to a resort

The chlorine does seem to dull it a lil, but just use some toothpaste on it and it sparkles even more than when you first got it

HAHAHA toothepaste? Nooooo...well at least that's what the appraiser said......she said use a bit of dish soap and that will get it clean but you should really have it professionally done! My mom and aunt and other family members told me all differnt things to clean their rings and i mentioned them to the appraiser and she was like no no no no and more no dish soap that's it!

I second the toothpaste.... my future cousin who works for a jewler actually said it's fine and safe.... and all that good stuff if you cannot bring it to a professional

HI Elly
I'm actually leaving my e-ring home when we go on the cruise. I might buy a fake. If you leave it in the room put it in the safe (if they have one) or hide it. I always think of when Joann 'lost' one of her diamond rings when she knew exactly where she left it!!!!

i was afriad to wear it in the pool and the other day i did and i was ok so i would wear it in the pool but i dont know about the beach...... If you were inthe pool you can found it and un the beach you cant. i would lock it up at the hotel or keep in my bag so i wouldnt lose it at the beach
