Hey all...so my FH ordered my E-ring online and it only came in one size, a 7....my ring size is a 5 1/4, so I got a guard on it, however, the ring gaurd just isnt working out for me, it bothers me and hurts sometimes, so i want to get it sized...now the problem is it is platinum and channel set, so some places are saying they are not comfortable sizing it and the one place i got a quote from wants 200 dollars just to size it! that sounds like a real lot to me, but maybe i just dont know enough...does anyone else know a place that is trustworthy and will size a platinum ring for less than that???? thanks ladies

Re: E-Ring Sized
I had my platinum ring sized at Kay Cameron on Main Street in Sayville for about $80. Good luck!

Re: E-Ring Sized
I take EVERYTHING to Gennaro's in Bellmore Village, they do the work right in front of you so you dont have to leave it with them. BUT I dont know how much it would cost. I can see it being pricey, channel set has nothing holding it except for the outside, when they make it smaller (alot smaller in your case) they have to actually rebend the ring, which in turn means that the tracks that hold the diamond in place get bent also, meaning they have to be reset.

Go to attias flea market in Sayville. When you are looking at it, the last entrance all the way to the the left....go in there. The booth elegant jewelers is right as you walk in. I have the same problem. They actually created my e-ring there and it too, is platinum with channel set diamonds. They actually put two balls on the inside of the bottom of the band. I think they charged me $10-$15. You cant see them at all but it fits my finger and there is no risk of the diamonds popping out!Oh and they do it right in front of you so you dont have to leave it there which is a huge relief!
