E-Ring VENDOR RANT
Back in October, FH and I went to look at E-Rings. After trying on about 100000000 rings, we went to Elsa's Showroom (a vendor here) and had a ring designed. It was more then FH really wanted to spend, but he knew I loved it and he got it. We bought both the Diamond and the Setting from her. No problems there.
I purchased my wedding bands in Albany this past weekend. It's 2 bands and I will wear one on each side. The only problem is that the bands are a little bit thick and uncomfortable. I figured no problem, elsa can probably fix it for me. Wellllllllll I just called her to see if I can come in and show her the rings and she said NO because i didn't buy them from HER and she doesn't touch anyone elses work!!!!!!!!!!! wtef?????????????? you're a jeweler and I am insured!!! I explained to her that i don't feel comfortable leaving my e-ring anywhere else and she was like 'i understand but i won't take the chance of working on someone elses rings'.
Ya know....I have refferred so many ppl on here to her, a few of which actually DID go and DID buy stuff from her, and this is the thanks I get. All she has to do is thin out the back of the band for me. It's not like they are eternity bands with diamonds all around, it's just gold. And she clearly was insulted that I bought my rings elsewhere.
I am so aggrivated right now. Not for nothing, we gave her thousands of dollars in business. I'm very insulted that she can't help ME out now with other jewelery.
For anyone who still needs a band or an e-ring, I would def. make sure you are working with someone who won't just leave you hanging like this. Business is business, but when you are spending as much as some of us are on these rings, go with someone that you not only TRUST, but someone who will be able to help you out with this big purchase.
I HTH someone else for the future.
