Re: e rings
FH went to tri-county.
My ring is actually custom made and didn't cost THAT much... my center stone was purchased on ebay (but it is being replaced)
a friend of his actually went to attias and bought a tacori there. for over 50% off of what they go for elsewhere.

I would send anyone and everyone to Good old Gold in massapequa. Do a search for them on the forums at www.pricescope.com They have an amazing reputation.

Re: e rings
FH bought my ring at Leder's Jewelers in Rockville Centre. They've been great so far with us. They resized my ring for free, and redipped it when I thought it was beginning to tarnish.

FH got mine custom made from Zales but is getting my wedding band from Jared's. I love their selection and the service is great....I'm sure the one in LI is just as great as FL

Re: e rings
Even though the name sounds funny, Good Old Gold in Massapequa does a great job of explaining the 4 C's and answering your questions but not pressuring you to buy today.. We were there for a good hour just learning about diamonds and what to look for. We didn't end up buying there but they are great, although expensive in my opinion. I got my ring from Van Chion of Huntington.

Re: e rings
E-ring and wedding bands were all purchased at Barclay at Smith Haven Mall. Very happy with their selection, discounts and friendliness.
I live very close to the Attias flea market and I would advise everyone NOT to go there. I wouldn't trust anything bought from there. It most likely 'fell off the back of a truck,' or is supporting terrorism.
There have been more than a few times where helicopters woke me up in my bedroom with a spotlight looking for people who broke into that place as well as a high-speed chase down my road on a sunny summer's day - luckily no kids got hit.
If I could pay someone to burn that place down and not get caught, I would totally do it.
That's my public service announcement for the day.

mine is from Zales.... they have a new kind of cut of diamond called the celebreation diamond.. it has more facets to make it extra sparkly. it's like their version of the Heart on Fire
