E-Rings...with poll.

Just curious. I was there with FH when we picked mine out, but he suprised me with it a few weeks later.

Before we got engaged FH & I were Christmas shopping and he took me into a jewelry store to get an idea of what I like, I'm suprised he got anything out of the trip though because I was so shocked and and nervous when he pulled me in that I was shaking and pretty much ran out of the store

I like round solitares and that's exactly what he picked out for me

I took FH shopping with me to show him what I liked, but we wound up going to a jeweler from the diamond district and I designed my ring and picked out the stone as well. All FH had to do was pay for it and surprise me with it months later!

Completely surprised, never expected to get engaged on a holiday (because he said it was tacky and overdone) he asked me on Christmas night. Never really looked at rings together but he knew what I wanted and got nothing like it. But I love my ring, it's very different.

We went looking together. He wanted to make sure I really adored my ring since i'd be wearing it forever So I designed it, but he told me he couldn't afford it so we'd keep on looking, which we did. BUT he was lying to throw me off and wound up getting me the one I designed. I was blown away!

I have allergy problems and he would have felt horrible if I wasn't able to wear it, so we went together.

I had my ring picked out in my mind b/f I met FH! I looked at HUNDREDS of rings and the only one that I loved and kept coming back to was a 3 stone emerald cut. I thought it was beautiful & timeless, so that's what he got me!

He would ask me what types of rings I liked and then he went on his own and got mine. And he did a damn good job!

I showed my DH a pic 6 years ago....and 6 years later I got that exact ring!!

He knew exactly what I wanted but he purchased it himself.

I was very particular, so I went with him...my e-ring was hard to draw!

We went looking in the diamond district together about 8 months prior just so he had an idea of what I wanted... and what I DIDN'T want... and the ring he picked out is nothing I have ever in my seen before and I love it more than anything!!!

he had me design a ring on line--and then print it out for a jumping off point. and then he did the ring shopping himself and bought it on his own

We got engaged during a cruise that he took me on to celebrate my completion of my masters degree. During the cruise he said he wanted to look for a ring while we were on the trip. We had been talking about getting engaged for a while so I figured that it would happen then. We have been on a lot of cruises together so he thought it would be nice to get engaged during one. We looked but ended getting the ring here in NY together. He wanted to make sure I got something I liked and I loved the idea of picking it out together.

We looked together so he could get an idea of what I like, but he chose the actual ring by himself & surprised me with it.

Lol, we didn't stick to tradition for this one. The jeweler who made my ring is in the city and I work in the city, while FH works on LI. So to make it easier, I met w/him alone to order my band.Then, he gave me a few styles of men's bands to take home to FH to try on (yes, pretty trusting). We're not doing the he pays for mine, I pay for his thing either. At this point, it's all our money.
(FH did surprise me with the ering thought)

He picked it out all by himself, with no input from me. I had no idea it was coming He did a great job!
