Hi ladies, I was wondering if any ofy ou had suggestions on a great location in manhattan for our e-shoot. i was thinking something that captures everything great about nyc- trees in the fall, cobblestone streets, architecture etc. a few ideas are washington square park, meatpacking district or even long island city where the pepsi cola sign is. any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

we are doing it in downtown brooklyn. Many places in the city you might need a permit. There was another girl on here who did it on Roosevelt Island. those also looked nice.

I just did mine at 5 Pointz in Long Island City - we didn't get all the pics back yet, but it was an awesome location!

i took my e-pics at the long island city location with the pepsi cola sign, its called gantry park. I have pics in my album.
Wedding day also took there and at 5 pointz which is just a few blocks away from gantry park.

You might want to consider DUMBO (Brooklyn). You can get beautiful park pics with the NYC skyline in the background. It's really pretty.

we wanted to do washington square park because we met at NYU but it is under construction so you might not want that! We are doing the brooklyn bridge and DUMBO instead!

I also did gantry park and 5 points but you need a photo permit for gantry...we had to leave after 20 minutes!

where near charles? that's where I live!!
I second the Dumbo location - that can be really great. Gantry Park as other said is also really nice. Meatpacking too - there is a mix there btwn seedy, trees (nearby), and cool modern buildings too

we had our engagement photo shoot in Fort Tryon park in northern Manhattan (where the Cloisters are)...it has a great view of the Hudson, trees, flowers, castle-like setting...doesn't fit your description 100%, but it's a great (and free) location in which to take photos. Check out my album of photos to get an idea of what's there.
