Re: early bird QOTD / poll
This question doesn't really apply to me....
I saw a wedding dress on craig's list two days after FH and I got engaged and fell in LOVE with it. I knew it was crazy, but I went out to the girl's house and tried it on and it was just a little big, but I bought it on the spot... a $1k dress for $150.
Cost me more to do alterations.
But I love it and I can't wait to wear it next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the running of the brides so that in itself was 10 dresses at least and then I went to the macys shop and tried on 3-4 and finally julius bridal and I tried on 2-3.

Re: early bird QOTD / poll
I tried on tons of gowns, AND ended up doing a re select 2 months after ordering the original gown!
My advice to future gown shopping brides-DO NOT bring so many people with you and make your decision based on other people's emotions. The first dress I ordered was amazing, but it was what EVERYBODY ELSE envisioned me in, and I got really swept up in the emotion. When I did my re select, I was BY MYSELF with Rosemary from Wedding Salon, and together we found a dress that's perfectly me

I went by myself to Bridal Reflections to try on the gown I ultimately decided on..... I didn't want anyone else's opinions either!!! Not even my mom's LOL

My dress was the 5th one I tried on. I refused to take it off so I knew I had to have it.

I tried on about 12 dresses, but kept coming back to the second one and just decided to get it! And I am still thrilled with my decision!

I guess my dress is 'crap' then
ANYWAY, I ended up picking the first dress I tried on, but I tried about 5 or 6 just to be sure.

I'm sure your dress is absolutely lovely! And it's not 'used' like mine... I can only imagine the snickers... lol.

Re: early bird QOTD / poll
My search started off badly and with me in tears. I found a great dress at Angels that was a knock off of a Tomasina dress I fell in love with in the magazines, but I wanted to do the city search first. Kleinfelds was a nightmare. Saks had the real Tomasina and I got to try it on. It was beautiful but $8000 and heavy. Then my mom dragged me to Pronovias, almost kicking and screaming. I loved EVERY single dress I tried on there. And fell in LOVE with my dress.
