early ed teachers and mothers

eegh i have an issue

my daughter is very smart ... i know every mom thinks their kid is smart but she really is. she is 3 and was in a preschool class last yr with 3-5 yr olds. she wont even speak english in the house- she speaks spanish colors and phrases. she has to repeat nursery school cus her bday is dec 8 and misses the cut off... so she is repeating the 3 yr old class. i intervieed alot of schools and chose a well known preschool in holbrook and transfered her out of her old school... which i loved cus i moved out here- even though i worked in nassau. i thought i was gettinga a job transfer to suffolk for sept which i never got.
she got in troug=ble today cus she wanted to get called on for answers she knew and was mad other kids got called on.. typical 3 ry old behavior. then the teacher told the class they were learning about the color red- which she is so far advanced on- and my daughter goes 'who cares' :) hehe. then the teacher told her to finidsh her art project and she goes- 'hold your horses' and the teacher made her sit on the rug alone crying while the other kids finished their work...
i am so mad
i called the teacher who informed me k=my daughter is rude and disrespectful- SHES 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
i want to put her back in her old school-
she is so polite and smart and loves learning and this teacher is such an *******!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
vent!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you should look into other schools that may have a different teaching style. I am a Pre-K teacher but I also taught Nursery my first year. I had kids in my Nursery class that could have ran the class on their own because they were very advanced. I know your daughter may be bored in the classroom but maybe you can talk to the teacher about maybe giving her more advanced stuff or finding something she is interested in to do after she has finished her work. Or maybe the teacher can pair your daughter up (I know it sounds ridiculous in Nursery school) with a child that maybe is struggling. Maybe your daughter could be the teachers helper or something when she does finish all her work. I know its tough. I mean personally my school demands a lot of the little ones. Were only into the beginning of October and my class has already learned to write 3 letters. We do a lot of coloring and letter sheets and other activities as well as songs and fingerplays. It is a lot for a child. Maybe look into either her old school or another one if you are so unhappy with the school or see if there is another class in that school that she can be put into with a different teacher that runs her classroom a different way. Those are some suggestions. I hope that helps!
