How early should you get a hair trial? I have a while to go, but the way things book up scare me! However, I have not a clue how I would be wearing my hair, and obviously don't have a veil/headpiece yet!
Did anyone go before they even had a clue about how they were going to wear their hair?

Re: Early Hair Trial?
I had mine in April without my veil or headpiece but for me those items won't affect or be part of my hair so it didn't matter.

Re: Early Hair Trial?
I did mine now since I was going to be in town. I actually decided to wear no tiara just crystal pins after she did my hair- it looked perfect with nothing in it really. I didn't know what I wanted exactly, I just looked at books of what she did and picked one. It came out exactly like the picture and I loved it. So I don't think you need to know exactly. I think I could even change it and she would just replicate it the day of. I was more concerned with talent than the actual style.

Re: Early Hair Trial?
My wedding is 2 weeks before yours and I just started looked. One person was booked already. I don't have my veil yet, but I have an idea of what I want, or at least the position on my head that I want to wear it on!
I also plan on letting my hair grow for the next year, but I figure I can get an idea of what they can do, since the front of my hair will basically be the same.
Isn't it nuts that people are booked already??

Re: Early Hair Trial?
I went for trials way before I knew what style I wanted. I gave everyone the same picture (which was a somewhat intricate style) and saw right away the difference in ability. Most of my trials didn't look too much like the picture. I'm very detail oriented aka picky. When I finally found Taralie and later on, Lauren, I knew I found the right stylist/s. Even if I change my mind ten more times, I know I have a stylist with talent that will be able to recreate what I want. I would suggest going for another trial with your hair stylist closer to the wedding, after you are sure what style you will be doing on the big day.

Re: Early Hair Trial?
I already had 2 hair trials, and already am booking one of the hair artists... so that is 10 months in advance

Holy Sh*t!! That's nuts! Hearing these things scares me!
I guess I should start looking...although it just seems odd to me that I need to get a trial w/o having a clue how I want to wear it! But, I guess I should base my decision on talent, and then I can always get another trial with whoever I book closer to the wedding!

I agree! This is scaring the crap out of me as well!!! Although, I can't imagine the up-do specialist at my salon being booked up for the next year!!!
