OMG we went to a wedding last weekend and the couple that got married (our good friends) are in hawaii!! They aren't due back for another week... I hope they are ok.

Ali (aliwnec10) is there on her HM now. We were just on the phone with them and they were on Maui and felt it, but they are ok. Now they are headed to Oahu which does not have power but the good news is that they are fine and they have a cool HM story

My cousin who got married at Glen Island Harbour last weekend is there right now. He left Big Island yesterday, he is in Maui now. He said they felt the quake in Maui and it woke them up. They are both leaving Maui tomorrow and are going to Vegas instead. His wife is really nervous and doesn't want to stay. They said it is really surreal right now.

We're okay! We're okay! Maui is completely fine and only lost power for 3 hours this morning. Today we flew from Maui to Oahu and Oahu had lost power all day. They just got power back around 7pm. We got into oahu an hour later so we're lucky! So everything is fine girls.

elmtobe is in Maui right now too!!! Maybe all the LIWers will meet! They are fine, just lost power for a while and supposedly the airport is closed.....

THere's nothing to worry about. Everything is back to normal here. Besides... their last earthquake was 20 years ago... so my bet is that you'll be fine.

Yes but most aftershocks you can't feel. We felt the one major aftershock and that was it. Supposedly there were 20 more yesterday and we didn't feel any of them.
