FH and I are attending a wedding and we don't know if it would be easier to take a train and then a cab or just take a car service from Brooklyn...
Has anyone done this before? TIA!

Can you take the LIRR to woodside? If so, then you can transfer to a LIRR train to Great Neck. You can't go directly from Brooklyn to GN on the LIRR.

if you are driving take either the LIE or Northern State to the Lakeville Road exit. head north. when you get to Northern Blvd (25A) make a left. its right there on the right! cant miss!

It might take a while but the train is probably your best option. I think my friends have taken the subway to Penn and then taken the LIRR to Great Neck as they thought it was easier than the LIRR from Brooklyn to Woodside and changing to the train to Great Neck. Whichever way you decide to go, make sure you buy your tickets BEFORE you get on the train or they will add a big surcharge if you buy onboard. Oh, and Leonard's is close to the train station so the cab fare in Great Neck shouldn't be bad at all.

I think the trains run every hour or two, so you should be fine on time
I think that with traffic, car service from Brooklyn would be expensive!!
