I am planning my Hamptons wedding long distance (I live in Chicago and FH lives in Milwaukee). I was out in August to do wedding planning and we met with a few caterers. Most wanted about $100/adult without alcohol or cake for a cocktail hour and a buffet! Plus rental fees for tables, chairs, linens, glasses, etc; plus tax; plus tip. I think I'm used to Midwest prices because that seems HIGH to me. Does anyone know of a decent caterer (it doesn't have to be haute cuisine) who is either on the east end or will travel? Anyone on the North Fork maybe? I'm near Westhampton. Thank you!!

Congrats on your engagement!!!! Those prices sound about right. I dont know of any specific caterers though

Call Lessings. They cater anywhere & they have a place out east. I have been to many events where they cooked on site & it was very good.

Christopher Michael Catering!!!!!!!!!! They are amazing! I am using them for my wedding. It is $60 pp which includes a raw bar (I'm having buffet style), coffee, desserts, soft drinks, liquour everything plus hes a great guy!

I'm having 95 adults, 5 schoolaged children, and 20 toddlers/babies (see what happens when you get married at 32 and you allow children at your reception!!!!!!! You have an army of little people!!).

Check out Elegant Affairs. I do know someone there - not sure if he can give you a deal or not, but I can give you his name if you'd like - just FM me if you are still looking. I believe they can do all price ranges, depends on what you want.

I got married in Hampton Bays, and the chef that owns/runs that place also does offsite catering...she is amazing and great to work with!! People raved about the food at our wedding, and we've eaten at her restaurant several times and the food is always great...you can check out my review for pics as well. She took care of the tent rental & everything as well..so she may be able to help you with that as well.
