Re: east massapequa
I just want to say my mom lives in Amityville- where she lives it is beautiful. Yes, the schools aren't as nice or as well funded as Massapequa schools, but I think if people sent their kids to those schools they would eventually get better.
Plus.. FYI- there is NOOOOO racial diversity in Massapequa- they zone it that way on purpose. I had a great education there- they have a great music program and I am happy I went to MHS.. However, we had NOT ONE African American Student, maybe 5 Latin American kids and 10 Chinese/Korean kids...
I don't think that's a good way to raise a kid either.

Re: east massapequa
don't get me wrong... I love Massapequa too- but I don't think you can go off the school report card alone. All school districts would be GREAT if you zoned out all the poor kids. It's not fair.
I grew up there. It is a GREAT school system. But I'm still traumatized from it.. so although I got a good education, the kids were still bratty and obnoxious and did their share of psychological damage.
